Society Social February 18, 2012 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. From the time an amorous caveman first dragged a cavewoman by the hair into his lair to the current age of iconic Hollywood sex symbols, there have been lovers that have ignited generations through tales of their romantic escapades, examples of their passionate expressions, and infamy for their sexual exploits. In addition to particular individuals or couples who have stirred and stimulated us, there have also more broadly been cultural practices and periods in history that resonate with us because of their more free expressions of love, romance, and sexual deviance. We invite you to join us on February 18th 2012 from 7 p.m.– 1 a.m. to indulge your inner lover att our Society Social: Lovers Through the Ages. Whether you are inspired by famous lovers through time or periods in history that are famous for sexual practices and expressions of love, please come and share your take on being a lover. Costumes and sexy clothing are never required but always encouraged. What lover might you envision yourself as? A participant in a Roman orgy, Don Juan, Madonna, Cleopatra and Marc Antony, a hippy from the Summer of Love, Adam and Eve (or Lillith!), a Kama Sutra practitioner, the Marquis de Sade, Kermit and Miss Piggy, Romeo and Juliet, Scarlett O'Hara, a 70s or 80s porn star, Monica Lewinsky, Caligula, Wilt Chamberlain, Bonnie and Clyde, a geisha from the 18th century, Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming, Elvis Presley, Lady Godiva, a polygamist in modern culture…the posssibilities are as endless as time itself. Please note that ticket prices have increased by $5 to keep up with rising production costs. In addition, we will be offering a handful more tickets for sale, increasing from 75 to 100 for Socials. At the end of your Paypal Purchase, look for the link to our confirmation webpage, which will include the information you need to obtain the location of the event. You will also receive an email at the email address with which you purchase your ticket with the information you need to obtain the location of the event. Please check your spam folder! If you do not receive an email from us within 48 hours, please write to april@humboldtimps.com. Print out your PayPal receipt as confirmation and bring it with you to the event. In addition, you are required to read and sign the Guidelines and Waiver and to present the signed waiver and a current, valid form of identification at the door in order to get admitted to the event.
