Event Volunteer Job Descriptions
Large Event Volunteers
Security: The Security Crew is responsible for securing the perimeter of the event and keeping guests safe. Security works the front door, assists guests with parking, and monitors the smoking area. They are the first friendly faces that our guests interact with!
Vibes: The Vibes Crew roams the party projecting a positive vibe, talking to guests, answering questions, and monitoring for potential issues. We consider Vibes to be extensions of the Hostesses, providing a welcoming environment. If a serious issue arises, volunteers are encouraged to get a Hostess or Crew Head for assistance.
Dungeon: The Dungeon Crew monitors the dungeon for safety and ensures scene space is respected. They also provide tours of the dungeon space and educate guests about various aspects of BDSM.
Hospitality: The Hospitality Crew is responsible for the wonderful food at our events. They assist in the preparation of food prior to the event, keep the tables clean and stocked throughout the night, and assist with clean up the day after the event.
Dirty Cleaners: The Dirty Cleaners Crew is responsible for keeping the facilities clean, safe, well-stocked and pleasant.
Performers: Performers provide the fantastic sexy show that gets the party going.
Performance Techs: Performances need curtain fairies, a lighting tech and a video tech.
Music/DJ: We are looking for DJs from the community who are invested in the mission of the Society and wish to collaborate in the sex-oriented vibe of the event.
Society Social Volunteers
Security: The Security Crew at the smaller events work the front door taking tickets, checking id's, making sure people aren't bringing in cell phones or glass, etc. They also let guests know about the logistics of the party: where the bathrooms and smoking area are, how to identify the Vibes person on duty, etc. They are the first friendly face that our guests interact with!
Vibes: The Vibes Crew roams the party talking to guests, answering questions and watching for potential issues. We consider Vibes to be extensions of the Hostesses, providing a welcoming environment. There are very rarely difficult issues to be addressed at the smaller events, other than the occasional accidental infringement on someone's scene space. If a serious issue does arise, volunteers are asked to get a Hostess's or Crew Head's attention and we will handle it.
